Position: Agriculture - U.S. General Manager
Location: Midwest (Minnesota Optimal)
We are recruiting a U.S. General Manager for an early stage well-funded Precision Agriculture company that is establishing / growing their U.S. presences.
The company is commercializing their crop-monitoring technologies and assisting growers who have millions of acres of; soy, corn, wheat, cotton, sugar cane, and potatoes in production.
The candidate for this position must have credibility within the agriculture industry and will have extensive experience working with both growers and large Agriculture Suppliers.
The General Manager will lead all aspects of the company’s sales, operation and customer success support team. Hiring and managing individuals at all levels throughout the organization.
They will also be responsible for growing the company’s activity with their current customers / partners. They will be expected to develop additional relationships with large Agriculture Technology companies who will incorporate the company’s technology into their solutions.
Ideal location for this individual is in the Midwest region but will be expected to travel extensively.
Set up company strategy to manage marketing, sales, and customers support.
Develop relationships with agriculture partners and growers.
Expand business and market penetration of company’s crop-monitoring technologies.
Lead company ongoing sales and develop company’s sales / support teams.
Planning / Forecast / Reporting the company budget and revenue.
Prepare commercial and finance reports and statements to corporate management.
Manage activities to execute company’s overall plans and achieve targets / goals.
Represent company in commercial events, trade shows and conferences.
Degree in Agriculture / Business Administration / Marketing.
Agriculture background and passion for the agriculture industry
Worked with and sold to Agriculture Suppliers
Worked with and sold to Growers
Direct sales experience and experience in building and managing direct sales team.
Taken business from small scale to large scale while implementing company procedures in all aspects - operation, sales, customer success
Willingness to travel frequently
