Branch Manager - Material Handling Equipment Company
Our client, a large material handling equipment company sells, rents, and services their commercial equipment line. A family owned business since 1969, they have grown to 4 locations in 4 states throughout the mid-west. They are seeking a Branch Manager for their metro-Detroit location.
The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years experience and will have managed an operation previously which gave you the opportunity to work with others in sales, service, parts, and leading people. This location has over 70 people that would under your authority. It is truly a unique opportunity for the right person. Depending on your experience level and demonstrative success in the past, this position has a starting salary between $60,000 - $80,000. If all goes as planned, the Branch Manager will be earning $120,000 in 5 years. There is a company 401k program as well as full medical, dental, and vision benefits.
The 4 main areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Manage the Service Department
- Manage the Sales Territory
- Analyze the Michigan Market
- Make Inventory Recommendations
Since you will manage and oversee all sales and customer service this position will be 60% in house and 40% out of the office.
This is a low volume and high dollar per sale industry. Your previous technical, mechanical, and management experience will serve you well as this company is growing rapidly and with the economy booming they anticipate that growth to continue. An effective Branch Manager will aid in that growth, manage that growth, and participate both professionally and financially.
