The Sales Executive – Bird Food is responsible for successfully developing, directing and executing account management activities within the United States for a significant Bird Food portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Bird Food into leading Retailers. The Sales Executive’s primary function will be to manage existing domestic retail accounts as well as grow the business. High energy, drive, creativity and outstanding communication skills will be necessary to develop the business and achieve financial goals and sales volume targets.
Manage execution of everyday business in partnership with assigned accounts
• Develop and execute sales plan to drive profitable growth:
o Understand Customer Needs – Use knowledge of the customer to determine customer needs.
o Understand customer’s strategic priorities, organization, processes, systems, and business operations.
o Create opportunities and execute key corporate initiatives to drive growth.
o Deliver key sales objectives through deliberate and collaborative planning with both external and internal business partners to help deliver long term, sustainable growth.
o Establish strategic and collaborative partnerships within your accounts.
o Partner with key decision makers in assigned accounts to understand and deliver trend forward category recommendations.
o Convert recommendations to provide profitable tangible business expansion opportunities.

o Understand the capabilities of the organization and be able to provide clear, compelling and articulate explanation of our products and their value to prospective customers.

o Be able to prepare your own sales presentations and contribute to the development of needed sales and marketing materials

strong cost/benefit analyses.
o Monitor customer sales performance against budget and financial expectations. Recommend, direct, and assist in the implementation of any required action response plan
o Industry Knowledge – Understands the dynamics and trends within industry that our customers and our company participate. Utilizes that knowledge to benefit our customer’s and company
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Agricultural Business, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar); MBA preferred, but not required.
• Four plus years of Bird Food customer service / sales experience, preferably for a Bird Food company
• Strong Bird Food background in sales and customer management with Retail Accounts.
• Has a proven and successful track record of delivering results in sales and account management.
