Job Description
Summary:
1. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of interface standards and software tools for mechanical design, drafting, documentation, CAD data exchange and document reproduction applications.
2. Network administrator for the \\ENG file server.
3. Advisor to design engineering and manufacturing engineering regarding the selection and use of computer hardware and software Duties: 1. Designs, develops, documents, and supports specific applications programs such as Autodesk Inventor or Vault Mfg.
2. Detail oriented and well organized
3. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
4. Designs interactive database tools to fill specific departmental and interdepartmental needs.
5. Develops, implements, and maintains interface standards and software tools needed for seamless internal and external information exchange of CAD and data exchange.
6. Develops and oversees current and future training needs.
7. Documents, administers and directs the use of the ENG network and file server.
8. Evaluates recommends and monitors the selection of computer hardware and software for design engineering.
9. Establishes and maintains model, drafting and ECO standards.
10. Provides technical support to all CAD or data management users.
11. Manages licenses and supports subscription updates
12. Evaluates current systems and develops recommendations for continuous improvement
13. Set up templates, title blocks, styles, content center, etc
14. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors
15. Performs assignments independently or without specific instructions. Efficiently schedules own time and activities. Establishes a course of action for handling multiple jobs and modifies priorities accordingly.
Experience and demonstrable skills in AutoCAD 2002 or newer with experience in 3D modeling preferred.
Experience with Autodesk Mechanical Desktop / Inventor required.
Farm or other agricultural equipment background preferred.
MUST have a 4 year degree!!!!
1. BS in Information systems, Industrial technology, Drafting technology.
2. Microsoft Office proficient, ERP experience a plus
3.Must have good written and oral communication skills
