Job Description
The Product Manager position is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Managers job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the companys overall strategy and goals.

Define the product strategy and roadmap
Be an expert with respect to the competition
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
Coordinate new product information for new dealers and customers
Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
Ensure continuity in current and new product offering by working closely with members of the marketing, sales, operations and engineering teams.
Analyze product and market opportunities and recommend new products, market entries, and product support based on research data.
Communicate product changes and improvements internally.
Deliver a revenue forecast; produce, maintain (cost of marketing & cost of development) an annual forecast.(for product development and existing product)
Oversee and coordinate the development of sales tools and information of competitor equipment
Propose and manage project budgets as required.
Manages product knowledge transfer to sales force and others through various means inside and outside the organization.
Brief press and analysts and go on press tours
Provide product rationalization recommendations.
Serves a point person for placing test machines with customers.
Recommend strategies to improve market position.
Establish professional affiliations and/or relationships with pertinent business partners, eg agronomists, seed salespersons, etc.
Manage teams of cross-functional members and accepts accountability for the team completing a project.
